24 July 2020 AFT-ACC Run-Off Election
aft.acc.elections <aft.acc.elections@gmail.com></aft.acc.elections@gmail.com>
Fri, Jul 24, 9:44 PM Hello Again! The Elections Committee will conduct a run-off election beginning next Monday for the Member-at-Large for Two-Year Institutions. Because no candidate in the Member-at-Large (Two-Year Institutes) office won a majority of votes cast, a run-off election will be conducted. According to the Caucus bylaws (Article IV Section 6) and the election guidelines (F(4) Election Procedures): "In the event that no candidate receives a majority of all votes cast, the Elections Committee shall conduct a run-off between the candidates with the most votes for that office". The two candidates who received the most votes were Bobbi-Lee Smart and Grace Chee. However, Dr. Smart has graciously requested to be removed from the running. Therefore, after Bobbi, the candidates who received the most votes were Grace Chee and Carlynne Albee. These two candidates will be on the ballot for the run-off election. Ballots will be sent via Election Buddy, once more. Please look for an email in all your inboxes (i.e. Focused, Other, Junk, etc) from the AFT Adjunct-Contingent Faculty Caucus with the subject line Vote now: AFT-ACC Run-Off Election: Member-at-Large (2-Yr Inst.)
